Interactive applets supporting teaching digital image processing
Křivánek, Jiří ; Mangová, Marie (referee) ; Rajmic, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis deals with the creation of applications for support of education computer graphics. The aim is to create a simple application which will show the functioning of the various methods. I implemented convolution methods for image filtering, dithering engaged in the distribution errors, bit planes that show each bit plane image, gamma correction to lighten or darken the image and procedural textures. All these methods are created in the form of Java applets.
Methods of image dithering
Pelc, Lukáš ; Křupka, Aleš (referee) ; Rajmic, Pavel (advisor)
Master’s thesis discusses methods for dithering image. The basis is the explanation of the theory of digital images, color models, color depth and color range. Followed by the dismantling of the basic dithering methods which are a thresholding method, a random and matrix diffusion. Discussed are advanced methods of dithering with error distribution, bee with best known method Floyd-Steinberg. Included is a comparison of different methods including subjective comparison using a questionnaire. Program part is JAVA applet that shows the possibility of generating images using various dithering methods.
Color Images Advanced Dithering Methods, Reduction of Color Space on n-Dimensional Palette
Štěpán, Petr ; Vaďura, Jiří (referee) ; Kršek, Přemysl (advisor)
This thesis describes summarizing and comparsion of advanced dithering techniques used to reduce the image color space on n-dimensional palette. The goal is to create a set of basic methods including theirs enhancements and modifications focusing on the output image quality and maximum visual fidelity to the original image. Another part of this thesis is to analyze this methods using own comparsing method and design new dithering algorithm combining their advantages.
Dithering the image
Štefaník, Pavel ; Zátyik, Ján (referee) ; Rajmic, Pavel (advisor)
Bachelor work deals with the reducing of picture color depth by various dithering methods. These methods are compared between each other and demonstrated on various types of pictures. Each method is described and implemented in MATLAB. The results are compared from different angles: time duration of algorithm, survey based on form, my opinion and SSIM comparison.
Education Computer Program for Demonstration of Colors and Colors Models Principles
Štěpán, Petr ; Jančík, Zdeněk (referee) ; Kršek, Přemysl (advisor)
This thesis describes the principles used when working with color palettes and with the reduction of color space of images in computer graphics. Special attention has been paid to their explanation for educational purposes. It should help even a user not familiar with these algorithms better understand their principles and application. A computer program written in the Java language has been designed to demonstrate and fulfill these goals.
Education Computer Program for Demonstration of Images Colors Space Reduction Methods
Pekař, Daniel ; Švub, Miroslav (referee) ; Štancl, Vít (advisor)
This work describes an Education Computer Program for Demonstration of Images Colors Space Reduction Methods creation. This program does not only constitute a means to reduce colors space in images but adverts to principles of individual reduction methods as well. The possibilities of program´s employment expand due to theoretical background´s incorporation into a practical application. The program can be in service as a reduction methods´demonstration tool in a class or as a study material for an individual learner.
Applications supporting lectures in image processing
Hlavatý, Jindřich ; Říha, Kamil (referee) ; Rajmic, Pavel (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with development of the programs for supporting of the tuition. The aim of my work is create to set of java applets. Introduction of my thesis explains concepts associated with this topic and necessary for solving this issue. Then I will take a closer look at color models and spaces. The conversion of color models to RGB models are described in this section. The following section shows decomposition into a bit level binary or using Gray code. Then, I will focus on image processing using convolution, conversion color image into gray scale image and dithering. In the end of my thesis the individual java applets are shown and described.
Interactive web applications supporting image processing lectures
Šuňal, Štefan ; Dorazil, Jan (referee) ; Rajmic, Pavel (advisor)
Main goal of this thesis is to design web applications focused on support of education in field of image processing, specifically image filtering, dithering, resampling and step-by-step convolution. It contains explanation of used methods and their practical application. Final part of the thesis describes design and implementation of each application in JavaScript.
Image dithering methods
Škvarenina, Ľubomír ; Zátyik, Ján (referee) ; Rajmic, Pavel (advisor)
Bachelor’s thesis is concerned with the image dithering. The purpose of this report is to summarize common and latest methods of image dithering reduction including all its derivates. The important terms in close relation of this project are explained at the beginning of the report. In the next part of this bachelor’s thesis are mentioned all methods of screen dithering including all known algorythms related to these methods. This section of the report is more concerned with thresholding, random dithering and error diffusion. There are some of the methods programmed in MATLAB’s interactive environment for demonstration in ending of this paper. Then various methods are compared in terms of speed.
Non Realistic Visualization on Lume Pad
Chalivopulosová, Aneta ; Karas, Matej (referee) ; Milet, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis focuses on methods of non-realistic rendering on Lume Pad. This thesis aims to test the functionality, quality, and user-friendliness of a few selected non-realistic effects applied to 3D scenes on the holographic tablet Lume Pad. These non-realistic post-processing effects are implemented and described in this thesis. Namely, edge detection, ordered dithering, random dithering, thresholding, hatching, color shading, wobbling effect and wobble carving effect, and pencil effect. The text also describes a theoretical introduction to holography, stereoscopy, and the light field.
